About the Temple:
Bhawani Devi Temple is a very sacred temple for the local people. It is located at the highest point on the Tehri – Dhanolti road. The temple is dedicated to Maa Bhawani (form of Goddess Durga) and is believed to be the protector of the valley. The views from the temple top are amazing — you can see the entire Himalayan range and deep valleys.
Hike Details:
– Total Hike: 20 km (both sides)
– Trail Type: Very beautiful forest trail with raw, challenging, offbeat terrain.
– Best For: Experienced trekkers who want a real, adventurous Himalayan hike away from the crowd.
